7.1    Technical Description of the Trainer
The Energy Conversion in a wind power station trainer must include the following descriptions or functions:

•    Shall consist different measurements such: wind velocity in front of and behind the rotor, speed of the rotor, voltage and current. function and design of an stand-alone system with a wind turbine
•    determining the power coefficient as a function of tip speed ratio
•    energy balance in a wind power station
•    determining the efficiency of a wind power station
•    the trainer shall be able to conduct experiments under real wind conditions, so that a larger wind generator shall be able to be connected to the control panel.  
7.2    Technical Specification of Trainer
The trainer must include the following technical specifications:
•    trainer for converting kinetic wind energy into electrical energy
•    laboratory-scale wind power station, stand-alone operation
•    axial fan with continuously variable speed (wind velocity)
•    flow straightener for consistent wind conditions
•    generator for converting the kinetic energy into electrical energy
•    accumulator for storing the electrical energy
•    two bulbs as electrical load (consumers)
•    measurement of wind velocity in front of and behind the rotor
•    measurement of rotational speed of the rotor
•    measurement of current and voltage
•    digital displays for the measured values
•    Software for data acquisition via USB under Windows Vista or Windows 7
