FLOW VISUALIZATION WIND TUNNEL
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The apparatus is intended for visualization of stream lines flow around models.
The apparatus consists of a stilling entrance, a contraction
section with air flow straighteres, a streamlines distributor, a viewing
window, an air blower, and a smoke generator.
Air flow is controlled by the blower damper and the outlet valve.
The window has a black back ground and side lights are provided for
better visualization of the streamlines. Three models – an aerofoil, a
cylinder, and a square are supplied. Other models can be made by
students.

- Laminar and turbulence flow observation.
- Flow patterns around bodies.
- Boundary separation on bodies.
- Effects of angle of attack.
