Gear Assembly Unitâ€Combined Drives.
This system is used to introduce combined drives and their correct assembly. The program of
exercises enables familiarization with six different drive implementation and analysis methods:
understanding the brief and the drawing, assembly, setting, adjusting, testing, and making
calculations. It is used for:
Familiarization with key components and types of mechanical drive systems such as
dual belt drive, chain drive with tensioning sprocket and spur gear transmission, dual spur gear
drive, combined bevel gear and spur gear drive, combined worm and bevel gear drive, and rack
drive with spur gear drive
Calculations on mechanical drives
Practical setâ€up of various drives, linked to simple configuration and alignment
exercises
Reading and understanding engineering drawings, familiarization with technical
terminology
Toothed belt pulleys: z=30, 32, 48, 60; Chain sprockets: z=20, 30; Gears: z=30, 36, 50, 60,
