·       Should be fully automated.

·       Should have minimum of 18 parameters including WBC Count , RBC Count, Hb, PCV, MCV, MCH, MCHC, PLATELET COUNT, RDW-CV & SD

·       Linearity range should be as under,

§  Hb – 0.02 – 22.0 g/dl

§  WBC – 0.02 – 75,000 cells/cu.mm

§  RBC – 0.02 - 7 million cells/cu.mm

§  Plt. – 0.02- 6 lakhs/ cu.mm

·       Should have minimum throughput – 60 samples per hour

·       Sample volume approximately 25 – 100 µl for whole blood; 20 µl for prediluted blood.

·       Should have monitoring and flagging functions.

·       Should have onboard memory for minimum 1000 samples.

·       LCD display should be large to review all parameters and 3 hsitograms on screen.

·       Analyzer should have a system for count and aperture monitoring.

·       The system should have automatic threshold for separation of RBC & platelet during analysis in case of microcytosis & large platelets.

·       The system should provide differential count as lymphocytes, mixed population and neutrophils while the mixed population should consist of eosinophils, basophils and monocytes

·       Should have auto probe wiper to clean auto sampler after every sample aspiration.

·       Should have inbuilt printer with option to print results with or without histograms.

·       Should have software and hardware to communicate with lab personal computer

·       Should provide reagents free of cost for initial 5,000 tests.

·       Should have open system regarding the reagents used for analysis.

·       Specification brochure should mandatory declare the cost per test, cost of all the reagents used for the analysis and the number of tests that can be performed with the specified quantity of the reagent.
