The system should be state of the art with full digital technology and should be for whole body applications (both adults and pediatric) which include abdominal, obs/gyn, peripheral vascular, musculoskeletal, small parts imaging, cardiology and endocavitary (transvaginal / transected).
System configuration:
· The system should be capable of high resolution 2D, PW, M mode, Color flow imaging, power Doppler angio imaging, duplex & triplex modes and continuous wave spectral Doppler.
· The system should have more than 1500 digital processing channels.
· The system should have 256 Gray shades or more. Steering on Color / PW modes should be available on all probes. Trapezoidal Image should be available.
· Transducers should be of broad (wide) band technology with facility for multi frequency imaging with independent selection of 2D / Color / Spectral Doppler frequency should be offered. .
· The system should have a dynamic range of 150 dB or more. Higher dynamic range will be preferred.
· The system should have a frame rate of 300 frames per second or more.
· The system should have Up / Down & Right / Left Image rotation, One touch Image optimization and Edge Enhancement settings
· The system should have gate adjustments on spectral modes, auto angle correction, filter adjustment, base line and sweep speed adjustments.
· Cine loop facility, both frame by frame and in cine mode, with a memory for at least 300 2D color images review and at least 20 seconds of Doppler and M mode data.
· The system should have facility of direct storage and retrieval of B/W and color images (both frozen and cine loops) in the inbuilt hard disk drive.
In- built hard disk storage capacity of at least 50 GB.
· System should have facility to transfer data from the hard disk on to a removable media (CD and DVD).
· The system should have facility of extended field of viewing.
· The system should be DICOM 3.0 ( or higher version) ready (like send, receive, print, record on CD/DVD, acknowledge etc.) for connectivity to any network, PC/computer etc in DICOM format.
· System should have tissue Harmonic imaging faculty.
· System should be able to support at least three electronic transducers with universal ports with simple electronic selection method for interchanging transducers.
· An alpha numeric key board with illuminated keys and status display.
· System should have automatic real time quantification of Doppler parameters.
· Zoom facility (up to 6 times or more magnification) with high resolution results in both real time and frozen images with facility of pre and post processing.
· Scroll facility with zoomed images.
· Imaging depth of 25cms or more.
· System should have extensive calculation packages for general, vascular, cardiology and complete obstetric measurements.
· Distance, volume ,Area, % stenosis on B mode
· Distance, Time, Heart Rate, Slope on M mode
· Velocity, Acceleration time, Slope, PI, RI, S/D Ratio with Auto Doppler on Doppler mode
· High resolution, non-interlaced image monitor of 15 inches or more with tilt and swivel facility.
· System should be able to store at least 20 user specific image presets.
· Unit should be housed on a mobile trolley.
Transducers: Following transducers to be offered with the system:
· Curved array 2 – 5 MHz (convex probe).
· Linear array 5 – 12 (or more) MHz
· Phased array cardiac probe of 2 - 4 MHZ
· Endocavitary probe (Transvaginal / trans rectal) 5-9 (or more) MHz
· Endocavitary probe should have biopsy facility with needle guides.
Image storage and Documentation devices:
· Black and white thermal printer with 25 rolls of paper.
· Compact Disc (CD) and DVD drive for storage on CD and DVD
Miscellaneous:
· On line UPS with capacity for half an hour backup to support all functions of the equipment i.e. Performing ultrasound procedure, exposure on to films or copy on a CD.
